The Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir Takes The High Road!
The Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir takes ‘the Road To The Isles’ and ‘The Bonnie Banks o Loch Lomond’ this weekend for three days of wonderful musical recitals – in Edinburgh, St Andrews and, as they are ’Westering Home’, to Hawes, as a part of the Swaledale Festival.
With pieces ranging from the ever popular and imposing coronation anthem ‘Zadok the Priest’ (Handel) to three beautiful, atmospheric and at times wistful arrangements of the traditional Scottish songs, ‘Spirit of God’, ‘Loch Lomond’ and ‘Ye Banks and Braes of Bonnie Doon’, with a bit of Vivaldi, Brahms, Parry en route – and of course, the wonderful Faure Requiem – the choir will entertain, enthral and excite its Northern audiences.
