Across the Channel once again.

On 8th August the Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir will be on their travels once more, this time to Normandy for a 3 recital short tour. The YPC were last in that region in 2006 with successful recital concerts in Bayeux and Coutance Cathedrals as well as the famous wooden cathedral in Honfleur.

This year we will again perform in the magnificent Bayeux Cathedral on Saturday Evening 10th August, following a concert in Eglise St Germain on Friday Evening 9th August.

On Sunday Evening 11th August, the choir will perform in the beautiful Abbaye aux hommes in Caen, which will be the first time we have performed in that historic city which has so many links to Britain.

Audiences in that part of the world are always large and enthusiastic for choral music, so we are looking forward to presenting our tour repertoire of Choral Classics, which includes a fair sprinkling of British and French favourites.

We feature as our guests on the trip Anthony Thompson (Trumpet) and Daniel Justin (Organ), their superb musicianship will add to each performance.

The YPC undertakes similar trips every 3 years and we always enjoy the thrill of travelling and performing together in some of Europe's finest venues. Of course we have lots of fun together too as well as making excellent music.
